It should be no surprise that we love the Volkswagen Atlas here at Fitzgerald Volkswagen Annapolis, but the real question is why? That's why we want to highlight some of the features that we think make the Atlas stand above its competition like the Honda Passport, Kia Telluride and Subaru Ascent.

The Volkswagen Atlas Versus the Honda Passport

One of the key takeaways between these two SUVs is the size. If you have a large or growing family, the Atlas offers seating for seven, while the Passport sits only five. You'll have about 40 more cubic feet of passenger volume in the Atlas. You'll also get some extra visibility and convenience options on the Atlas compared to the Passport.

The Volkswagen Atlas Versus the Kia Telluride

Similarly, the Telluride is also a bit more cramped for Laurel, MD families. It may have room for an extra passenger, but it sacrifices on legroom, headroom and more. Plus, you'll find the cargo volume is lower by about 10 cubic feet. You'll also get several features standard on the Atlas that you have to pay extra for on the Telluride like foglights, LED interior lighting, and remote engine start.

The Volkswagen Atlas Versus the Subaru Ascent

If you want the ability to tow a light to mid-weight camper out of Baltimore, the Atlas can tow up to 5,000 pounds when properly equipped. You won't be towing much in the Ascent. You'll also find more color options for your exterior on the Atlas, including the rare shade of green, allowing you to pick something you'll enjoy seeing every time you walk to your car.
